Review: The Forest

It is genuinely surprising how many formulaic haunted house flashbacks there are in a movie called The Forest. Sure the name itself implies a more divert detour than your run-of-the-mill supernatural thriller and Director Jason Zada does seem interested in exploring the deeper, darker repercussions of long-standing guilt, but ultimately his film delivers more of the same: a tireless tide of dull jump scares.

While The Forest probably won't be the worst horror movie of 2016, it's definitely not worth the hike or your time.
