Review: Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

There is something magical about feeling like a kid again and J.J. Abrams allows many 'Star Wars' fans this opportunity with The Force Awakens. Those fans who are simply looking to relive the glory days will no doubt find solace in the familiar story structure; however, gravely disappointed were the rest of us who sought new territory in a universe overflowing with endless story possibilities. Thus, Disney's first 'Star Wars' adventure amounts to mere fan service when it could have been a more meaningful extension of a beloved mythos. Pluses here include: Daisy Ridley, John Williams' score, and BB-8 (I just love that little guy!).

Is it worth your time? If you're a fan then yes, but expect a heavy dose of Déjà Vu.
